My name is Ian Yenzer I am a second year student at Maryville University studying Rehabilitation Counselling. I work hard at school and also have a lot of fun playing power soccer, playing with my dogs, playing guitar, and working at the on weekends. I have a disability called Becker’s Muscular Dystrophy that causes muscle weakness, therefore staying active can be challenge for me. I have a support dog that goes everywhere with me to help me balance and to retrieve things from the ground. I do my best to stay positive, and activities like power soccer are thrilling for me. I can move swiftly and be competitive in a sport, which is something I have not been able to do in the past.
